DESCRIPTION
YACHT DE-REGISTRATIONS FROM THE GREEK SHIP REGISTRY ZB MARINE
In transfers of Greek registered vessels, when the buyer is a foreign individual or company and wishes to change the flag on the acquired vessel, additional procedures are required. Besides the vessel transfer, processes such as deletion from the Greek ship registry, suspension of the Greek charter license (if it’s a commercial vessel), and possibly export through the customs of the vessel are necessary when the buyer is an individual or a company from a non E.U. country.
With precise coordination, our company handles all required procedures, including the debt-free certificates from the tax office, the Seamen’s insurance fund (N.A.T.) and the Hellenic chamber of shipping (Ν.Ε.Ε.), the approval of the sale and the deletion from the Greek ship registry issued by the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy, the Bill of sale approval and transfer tax payment to the relevant tax office, and finally, the submission of the application with the supporting documents and the receipt of the Certificate of Deletion from the Greek ship registry from the port police authority where the vessel is registered. If needed, we also provide services for the export procedure through customs and the suspension of the Greek charter license – operation and business activity – at the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy.
